Procurement Agent
Procurement Agent owns the source-to-pay loop end to end.
It reads incoming requisitions (from planners, from Supply Planner's replenishment proposals, from production-side material needs), routes them through the right approval workflow, places the PO against the right supplier on the right terms, and tracks the commitment through to receipt — autonomously, within enterprise-configured guardrails.
The agent is grounded in your supplier master, contracted pricing, preferred-supplier rules, and tier-based authorization. It chooses suppliers using the same logic your procurement team would — best price within preferred tier, capacity available against the requested lead time, contract terms in good standing. When it can't act on its own (a requisition above the auto-approval threshold, a non-preferred supplier required, an off-contract item), it routes to the right human approver with the full context attached.
Once a PO is placed, Procurement Agent works alongside Supply Assurance Agent to keep the commitment honored — confirming delivery dates, escalating delays, and writing acknowledgments back to the ERP.
